In 2016, I was working long hours across various cleaning jobs in London offices in the City, rental flats in Camden, family homes in Southall. What I noticed, time and again, was how rushed the work often was. Corners were cut. Clients were left wondering if anyone truly cared.

So I made a quiet decision one evening: if I was going to keep cleaning, I’d do it properly my way.

I borrowed a vacuum, printed some leaflets, and walked door to door offering help to neighbours in Ealing. Not cheap deals, not flashy offers just honest, reliable cleaning that treated people’s homes with respect.

That’s how Clean Genius started.

My first regular client was an elderly gentleman in Acton who couldn’t manage the stairs anymore. I cleaned his flat weekly and stayed for tea. Word spread. By the end of that year, I was fully booked and needed help.

I trained our first cleaner, Sana, myself teaching her everything from safe product use to folding towels properly. Today, she manages our West London rota.

As more clients joined from landlords in Islington to schools in Lambeth I was determined to grow slowly and responsibly. No aggressive marketing. No rushed hires. Just consistent, kind service.

We now serve dozens of boroughs including Hackney, Chelsea, Wandsworth, and Tower Hamlets. Our reviews on Trustpilot reflect what I always hoped to build: a team people can trust in their homes, their offices, and their lives.

To me, cleaning isn’t just about tidiness. It’s about giving people back time, clarity, and comfort. Whether we’re tackling bathroom limescale in Lewisham or doing a deep office clean in Holborn, our work starts with care.

I still take calls personally, and I visit sites weekly to check on jobs. It’s not about scaling it’s about serving.
